The added protein in the chicken might also have something to do with it, especially considering that foods containing complex carbohydrates and high protein foods are considered to be a good source of amino acids, though fats and protein will also further slow the absorption of any alcohol still kicking around in your system.<br /><br />It’s usually "the heavier on your stomach, the better" you’ll feel the next day. Typically, having ANY food in your stomach will slow the absorption of alcohol into your bloodstream thus, giving you a little bit more resistance to getting a hangover the next morning. However, it’s best to avoid caffeinated beverages aver drinking and salty foods beforehand because that will just make you thirstier. I personally recommend chugging a bottle of water before calling it a night. <br /><br />Whenever my friends and I are out,I usually recommend that my friends have a “water back” to whatever we drink, just for the sake of remaining hydrated.
